me too, it seem archive high process. But i don't know how to resolve it.
Anybody here can explain why?
We have just found out the issue. If the host has Windows Update enabled, the spike can occur during the update process.
We are working with support now to develop a patch.
I am seeing this as well. Was this ever fixed?
Yes, apply latest patches.
my company just moved to McAfee, but the firesvc.exe process eats up most of the CPU, and the laptop became unusable.
I have disabled Microsoft AutoUpdate, but no luck.
I have installed:
- Host Intrusion
Product Version: 7.0.0
Build Number: 1021
Security Content Version: 2851
- McAfee Agent 22.214.171.1241
- Viruscan Enterpise 8.7.0i (scan engine 5400.1158)
Any way to fix this?
