MWG 7.2 - Error starting GUI

Hello,

i just installed MWG 7.2 in VMWare for testsing purpose.

When starting the GUI the follwoing error occurs (see also attached screenshot):

========================================

ClassNotFoundException

com.scur.k.Applet

========================================

I tried IE9 and Firefox 15. Installed is Java 7 Update 7.

Do I need an older Java Version to use the GUI

    The latest Java Version should work fine. Please ensure that you clean/disable the Browser and Java Cache. Browser Cache is cleared somewhere in the browser options, the Java Cache is a separate entry in the operating systems control panel.

    Best,

    Andre

    I have te same problem with Java Version 7.25.

    The Cache of the Browser and the Java App ist empty.

    But the error ist still there. Is this a problem with the Java Version/Update?

    Best regards.

    Re: MWG 7.2 - Error starting GUI

    I have exactly the same problem.

    Cleaning the browser and java cache did not help.

    Client Software: Windows 7, IE9/Firefox24, Java 7 Update 17.

    On a W2K3 Server with IE8 and Java 6 Update 30 it is possible to access the Web-GUI.

    Does anyone have an ide how the problem can be solved?

    Kind regards.

    Chris

    Did the issue just begin happening? Meaning, was it working on that client before?

    Could you open the java console and cut-paste the debug text.

    Re: MWG 7.2 - Error starting GUI

    Hi,

    thanks for the quick response.

    The problem is not new. It exists for a long time. I checked the access from other clients in our environment today and the behaviour is the same.

    We normaly access the MWG-WebGui from a W2K3-Server (Admin-Server), but i think it should be possible from the clients, too.

    This is the debug-text from the JAVA-console:

    Could it be that you have configured in your browser proxy setting to bypass the proxy for the MWG-IP and have used a format like: https://MWG-IP:4712 or MWG-IP:4712. If so please remove the port number AND protocol and test it again.

    Re: MWG 7.2 - Error starting GUI

    There are no port numbers in the proxy settings.

    This isn't the problem.
