Yep, You can skip P1..... Cumulative.. See the section below from the Patch 2 Readme. I see no restrictions where SP1 is required first although there are some interesting issues mentioned in the Readme. :

This release was developed for use with:
VirusScan Enterprise: 8.7i
Detection Definitions (DAT): 5700.0000
Scan Engine: 5.3.01
Make sure you have installed the correct version of the product(s) in this list before using this release.
To use this release, you must have VirusScan Enterprise 8.7i software installed on the computer you intend to update with this release.
This release does not work with earlier versions of VirusScan software.
A reboot is needed to fully load the system drivers into memory. The package installation does not force the reboot.
Hope this helps.
You might have fewer problems if you start with the VSE8.7 including Patch 1 full installer repost from the corporate downloads site.
Thanks. I did some additional research. There is something in the Patch 2 readme which says that if you install the Anti-Spyware Module 8.7 after Patch 1 for VSE, it can cause problems.
So, my plan is to install VSE 8.7 (no patches), and then Anti-Spyware module.
Then, I'll install Patch 1 (optional), and Patch 2.
Thanks for your reply.
You can go straight to patch 2 from VSE 8.7. No need for Patch 1.
