did you miss out the theme folder by any chance?
No, Theme folder is where it belongs due to your User Guide. "...\Program Files\Endpoint Encryption for PC v6\Theme".
As I said, I double checked all parts of that User Guide.
going by a post here for the original WinPe disk: https://community.mcafee.com/community/business/data/epoenc/blog/2011/01/20/how- to-create-an-ee-tech-recovery-disk-for-mcafee-eepc-using-winpe-3
(In the comments at the bottom)
Are you using a specific language version for waik- some people found that if they used the english version it then worked.
Yes, I am using the german version of WAIK.
So I should try the english version instead?
If that is the reason, I would like to see support for other language versions in the future.
I give it a try, thanks.
Ok I tried the english WAIK ... no success as well. Does it depend on the language of the Windows 7 as well?
32 bit btw.
I also tried the BartPE variant of the User Guide ... EEtech works in that ISO but I can't find any Harddrives with that ISO.
To be honest i'm not very familiar with WinPE or waik yet- i only posted the link because i'd seen the picture before.
I use BartPE - remember to change the BIOS setting for SATA operation mode to legacy (or such like) instead of AHCI (or you will need to include specific hdd drivers on the bartpe disk for your drives)
Remember to turn sata mode back to what it was if you changed it.
It's important to use the english version as the base (not the german one) and then to copy the fonts
[copy "%windir%\fonts\cour*.*" "c:\winpe\mound\windows\fonts"]
