Try running McAfee Virtual Technician (MVT) this is an automated self-healing tool that can diagnose and fix many problems related to your McAfee product.
You can download and run McAfee Virtual Technician (MVT) from mvt.mcafee.com
If the issue still persists you can run the oas-disabled-fix.cmd utility through the below link:
Meanwhile update us with the Version details of installed McAfee Product:
(Navigation: Open McAfee product > Click About on the top right)
- McAfee Security Center:
- McAfee Virus Scan:
- McAfee Personal Firewall:
I tried this and the real-time scanner still goes off.
Verify whether the McAfee Services is set to Started & Automatic through services.msc
(For Win XP Navigation: Click Start > Run > Type services.msc > Click Enter (or) OK)
(For Win Vista / Windows 7 Navigation: Click the Windows Orb button and Type services.msc in Search and click enter)
Then in the alphabetical order go down to McAfee Services Right Click and set it to automatic and start the service if it is stopped as shown below.
I went to services.msc and did all of the steps and it is still not working. Am I doing something wrong?
Finally once try uninstalling & reinstalling your McAfee consumer products using Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel and use the below link to remove all the traces of installed McAfee products:
