Nope, no such thing available fo user invoked scans, if a (scheduled)ODS terminates it will note were it left off though and pick up exactly there once restarted. (KB60915)
That would make a good PER though. (KB60021)
Could you please clarify how it resumes? I've tried ending a scheduled scan both from command line and via the VirusScan Console, but it does not appear to resume when the next scheduled scan takes place.
If I can't initiate a scan directly to continue, would it be possible to change the schedule so it essentially resumes on its own?
I'm guessing those numbers are references to something, but I'm new and don't follow. What are they?
It notes the place were it left off in the registry (all explained in the KB article), there is no schedule option that allows for a resumable scan, it will be the next scheduled scan that picks up. The numbers are Knowledgebase article numbers, you can put them in the search field here: https://mysupport.mcafee.com/Eservice/templatepage.aspx?sURL=3&pl=0 and this should direct you to the kb article :-).
I would also assume that a 'resume' would be cancelled and start from the beginning if the DAT is updated.
