On the command-line you can use 'cf adminuser q' and 'cf adminuser modify' to edit this user's email address, whichever user you previously edited that caused this.

            Hello,

I have the same error (syntax close enough) after attempting to update an administrator account using the control center application. Since this FW is managed via CC; configuration changes via the CLI will be overwritten. Version 7.0.1.02

Anyone ever run into this situation and resolve it?

Hey Guys, Sorry for bumping such an old thread,

I am attempting to restore a v 7.0.1.03H09 config onto a fresh v 7.0.1.03H09 install(to install on new hardware) and am seeing the same errors as the third post above.

Any ideas which config parameter on the configuration backup file may be causing the import to fail?

Restoration from DR USB will be my next option, but due to logistics it'll take some time to produce.

Sendmail should have three directories in the default setup:

                /var/spool/mqueue.c (common)

                /var/spool/mqueue.1 (burb 1, external)

                /var/spool/mqueue.2 (burb 2, internal)

For some reason your configuration is trying to access /var/spool/mqueue/ (with no .c, .1, or .2).  I do not know how that can happen.

                Try this:

                $> cd /var/spool

                $> pwd

                /var/spool

                $> mkdir mqueue.1

                $> mkdir mqueue.2

                $> mkdir mqueue.c

                $> chtype mta1:diry mqueue.1

                $> chtype mta2:diry mqueue.2

                $> chtype mtac:diry mqueue.c

                $> cf sendmail rebuild

                  Thanks for the quick reply,

Here is what the directory structure of that source firewall(backup created from) looks like:

                  XXXXX:Admn {4} % pwd

                  /var/spool

                  XXXXX:Admn {5} % ls -latr

                  total 24

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  daemon  512 Sep 25  2008 output

                  drwxr-xr-x  21 root  wheel   512 Sep 25  2008 ..

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Oct  4  2008 .snap

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Mar 31  2009 vscan

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Mar 31  2009 mf_files

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Jun 17  2011 ACpackages

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Jun 27  2014 mqueue.1

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Jun 27  2014 mqueue

                  drwxr-xr-x  12 root  wheel   512 Jun 27  2014 .

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Jun 27  2014 mqueue.2

                  drwxrwxr-x   2 uucp  68      512 Jul  3  2014 lock

                  drwxr-xr-x   2 root  wheel   512 Jan 19 14:13 mqueue.c

So it has an mqueue, mqueue.1, mqueue.2.

Looking at a similar config but one that the backup works, it has mqueue.c, mqueue.1, mqueue.2, mqueue.3

The sendmail.cf from the broken one shows:

                  # queue directory

                  O QueueDirectory=/var/spool/mqueue.c

                  Which it should.

                  So I'm guessing we should:

                  $> chtype mta1:diry mqueue.1

                  $> chtype mta2:diry mqueue.2

                  $> chtype mtac:diry mqueue.c

                  $> cf sendmail rebuild

                  And remove or rename /var/spool/mqueue

I've seen this on one firewall previous to this, and I'm wondering if it's from configs that have been upgraded since pre version 7, which I believe this firewall was.
