Looks as if you are using an enterprise version of McAfee.. If yes please post in the corp section of the forums with more detauls of the operating system and installed applications and version of McAfee.
Thread moved provisionally to Corporate. What version of VirusScan is this? Did you thoroughly remove any previous anti-virus application before installing?
Also what operating system and service pack is this?
Disabling applications in the manner described will cause malfunctions, errors etc. and running another anti-virus will most definitely cause problems.
Check your machine for malware using the free version of these two applications. Update them before running and let them clean everything they find and reboot if asked to.
That memory usage while it seems a bit high to me, shouldn't be of concern - it's the CPU usage that causes slow downs. Assuming that it's the Task Manager that you are looking at.
