    FSAPI Trying to modify DLLs

I have come across a very odd set of behaviours with the FSAPI.EXE process - it is trying to open/modify all the DLLs on the API server.

I have turned on file auditing  and am now seeing lots of events of the type

Access to file C:\Windows\SysWOW64\gpprnext.dll was denied on SWINTON\GMSTPSAPI01 by NTFS permissions. (Denied access: read, write, attribute change).

Any thoughts before I open a call with support?

          Hi Ritch,

Are you running any sort of Anti-Virus etc. on the Server?  You might want to... make sure you check the install Guide "Using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i and later" for details of which processes to exclude.

Secondly, as far as i can tell FSAPI.exe has no reason to touch that .dll... have you run process explorer or something to prove that's the process that's trying to access it?

if you have proof, then opening an SR is the next step for sure.
