Sorry for the wrong info. The BIOS revision number is A09.
Another one just came in:
Windows 7 SP1
I located a floppy and USB drive, and tried doing a emergancy boot but without success as it could not find any valid disk information.
Then after speaking to our local McAfee reseller, i tried changing SATA mode on one of the affected laptops from 'RAID On' to 'ACHI'. After doing so, i can stil not authenticate in preboot without the machine freezing, but i can now successfully do a emergancy boot into Windows. I will try to let the machine synchronize with ePO, to see if that can repair the PBFS. I will let you know the outcome.
I have a copy of the Safetech ISO for a CD that you can use to Emergency Boot into Windows to resynchronize and repair the Pre-Boot Authentication page.
Let me know if you need it.
After emergancy booting off the floppy and logging into Windows, i chose to monitor the MfeEpe.log during the initial synchronization. What i saw was that EEPC re-synchronized the entire user database down onto the machine again. After completing the user and policy sync, i rebooted the machine and could now successfully authenticate in PBFS again without the machine freezing.
So once again i'm a happy camper
