    Failure of Hard Disk

IF after encryption of the Laptop the hard disk were to fail.

would their be a way to retrieve that data on the hard disk using external softwear?

If so, what options would their be that would be avaiable to do such a task

If you mean physically fail, most likely you'd need to get a hardware recovery agency involved, as there's no software which can fix a physically broken drive, encrypted or not.

Once you have the data off on a new drive, you can use the normal wintech/safetech tools to decrypt it.

If the drive is just logically broken, you can again decrypt with xtech then use whatever data recovery software you favor to repair it - it's just a normal drive after decryption.
