I haven't seen anything like that in the 5.x reporting, although if you are using 6.x, you should be able to pull it from ePO. What I do? our install process has them check in as soon as the drivers are installed and you reboot. When I need to find out when the machine was created, I can parse Audit logs for the first checkin. That has been close enough for our purposes so far.
is there any commands or trick to pull first checkin?
because there could be reinstalaltion so it's painfull to check one by one audit file..
What are you trying to determine? Maybe there's an alternate way of discovering the information.
To get how many new machine encrypted for a week and when the installation was done?
Is it possible?
Need to show to management on laptop encryption progresses..
you'd have to derive this through the audit events for the machine - you could do it pretty easily with a simple script.
Or, perhaps you could do it with the "showoldmachines" command? if you iterated from very old to new, and deducted the total each time, that would give you the additional machines created between each interval (assuming you've never cleared the audit log?)
Or a little more manual process:
Everything should be installing to a default group (unless you have multiple installers for your own reasons). Could you simply move all the machine entries once a week to a secondary/ production group? It's not the most auditable idea, but if you document that you are starting from Zero in a group on Monday, and have x in the group by Friday, it should show demonstrable progress.
Thanks Simon will look on the alternative..
There are wordwide laptop encrytion project..
So we need to trace and give some progress report on site and region..
Be able to keep track any new installation etc.. valueble for management view..
we do not used default group.. because we're global company with 3 region and multiple sites..
basically we having more than 8+ sites worldwide so with a little bit different setting interm keyboard (mostly)
So it's group by sites..
With thousands of devices it's pain to track all those.. as we're in version 5.x
probaly less in version 6.x i think..
I may need to create script to generate daily report and compare the list perhaps.. still looking for alternative..
I think it's would be easy if we can see "date created" etc..
