    Spurious Computer Names

    czql5v

      Hi All,

      Please could someone help/advise.

We have numerous rougue entries on the system which do not follow any naming convention what so ever. After completing an nslookup we were able to identify a few of the devices but we are still uncertain what these devices are, we are certain they do not exisist in AD and were wondering how EPO has picked them up. I am assuming they have been detected because of the IP address range set in EPO.

My question is where do the Spurious Computer Names come from and how does EPO report them? An example of the Names : erDefined>HMMWV; ="RELEASABLE TO. Normal Naming convention is MSGBN-xxxG where xxx would be the machine number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Regards.
