Do you know if the complaints from users are associated to On-Access scanning, or scheduled On-demand scans that are running?
You'd review the respective configurations of the appropriate catalyst to user unrest.
A common culprit being if you're scanning archives with either of these scanners.
it is related everytime we have trouble the
fcag.exe and fcagte.exe one or the other is over 70% pegged and last for a while
so bad that they cannot even create of open an email
it also extremely slows down the loading of pictures on websites
i do not want to unlock the controls so my users can lower the priority
or do any of the registry hints that McAfee suggests for every machine
If this was one or two machines I would just upgrade them , but it is everyone running the product
if i uninstall the product it goes away
That helps (somewhat).
Knowing the processes that are active (fcag.exe and fcagte.exe) at least helps me to point you in the right direction.
Those processes belong to DLP.
Your query would be best served posted to their forum (assuming they have one) or engaging the DLP Support team.
I don't see any other way to assist in the context of VSE.
Do know how to Change the forum or do I need to close it and repost
Here is the master KB article for exclusions.
From that, here is the KB for DLP specificially.
You can either exclude the DLP installation directories or exclude the DLP processes.
