Maybe the machine has a dynamic disk, or RAID active - something other than the supported, MBR only drive?
can you attach a screen shot from disk manager?
EEPC does not support UEFI boot at present.
This machine must be using Windows 7 64 bit OS installed in UEFI mode. EEPC cannot therefore encrypt it.
In order to encrypt it, simply reimage with Win 7 64 in BIOS mode.
Thanks for that. Can you clarify what you mean by BIOS mode?
There is a good FAQ on UEFI/BIOS here:
You will also need to reformat the disk to be an MBR disk before installing a fresh version of Windows, as per:
I would recommend 1) taking a sector level image of the drive before you start changing the disk and 2) contacting Lenovo to get their advice; it's possible that the machine in question does not have legacy BIOS support (i.e. it does not have a mode in which it emulates a BIOS) in which case what I am suggesting won't work.
Finally, just to note that the process of installing the OS or configuring the BIOS into any particular mode is not supported by McAfee.
