Anti-spam appears to process messages from some, and only some, of the web mail services I use. Where anti-spam is not involved the messages download very fast; when anti-spam gets hold of messages it takes a long time to process them - up to 30 seconds per message - and sometimes, when it eventually reaches the last message to be processed, the pop-up box showing progress freezes and cannot be dismissed. I have to kill off the process from Task Manager or Process Explorer.
This popup has been on-screen now for 3 hours, so clearly it's not going away.
I don't see any posts about this so it may be local settings at fault. Has anyone else seen this?
Sorry mate stopped using OE ages ago. Will sent it up on my test box and see what it does .
Can you go to "Virus and Spyware Protection drawer" under that go to "Real Time Scanning" Link.
This will launch a settings page.
Uncheck the "Email attachments" option and try downloading emails.
Please update the thread after doing this change.
