Have you checked with Agent status monitor weather the system is reporting with the ePO server properly try to do the collect and send props, send events to server etc also wake up the systems through ePO console will also helops you to refersh the details of the client version,
Long back i have faced this similar issue wat i did is just manually unistalled the MA and installed the framePKG on problamatic machine the my workstation able to communicate with ePO properly.
But in your case i dont know which is the root cause for this issue
May be manual uninstall and re-installation works for you

I know that the Issue will get resolve by reinstalling, But thisssue is not for single system, there are many systems with this issue.
And regarding agent, all those are properly communication with ePO.

I don't think this Issue is because of MA version, because all the systems(2500+) are with same MA version and i m facing Issue with some systems.
Also one more point if more no of systems information is displaying 0000 on ePO console
then the root cause may be more no of events will be stored on ePO server (if its try to purge all the events)
Else why cont you try to upgrade the ePO patch this may also help you .
