Are all the McAfee/Network Associates services starting o.k. on the client ?
See here for an solution:
Event ID 7030 — Basic Service Operations
In short, the NAI ePO agent install service, has to have this option turned on:
Allow service to interact with desktop (Logon tab of the service)
Thank you, the fact is that in order to turn it on, you should have this service on the service list and the only one that i found is the McAfee common framework, i was unable to find the NAI ePO agent Install Service.
Tomorrow i'll try to update to the CMA with framework version 608. ( i'm running the 574) we'll see if it is changing something.
This service is only there when you install/deploy an ePO agent for a short time, after that its automatically gone.
So the challenge is to locate the service quickly after launching the agent installation :)
I'll get back to you if I found a way to authorize automatically Windows 2008 to execute any service with all the interactions by changing a parameter.
I would never do that for all the services, this will be an great security risk.
I totally agree with you but if I find a way to do that and if it is working, I would be able to find a process that would
1/ enable the fact that the service is auhorized
2/ deploy the agent
3/ disable the authorization
What do you think ?
I would suggest to do with a Group Policy, but I don't know if that is possible in Server 2008.
You can also use this batch command:
sc config servicename type= interact type= own
And fire this command as soon as you see the NAI ePO agent install service.
