Its the basic virus software Frankly I get confused by all the names and dont understand them at all.
The help says SAAS Endpoint protection, what ever that is.

It would be really helpful if you could take a screen shot of the error that you get and post that screen shot here.
This would help us research and give an appropriate resolution.
Because these compuers are remote Im having some problems getting a screen capture.
However I think this should suffice. The screen that opens really is very simple it doesnt say much.
When I try to update the Mcafee software it begins the update, but then a second screen opens and has the following informaton on it.
Title of the windows is "Updating Mcafee Security-as-a-Service"
Product label under that says "McAfee | Security-as-a-Service"
Then the error says "Unable to create Cab Installer Object Agent Service may not be running properly."
There is an "OK" to close it.
If need be I could get picture but really thats all it says.
PS. Again this is a computer that is on a domain. And when I run it as administrator I dont get the error.

Please let us know if the Users login has a proxy configured to it.
This is 'coz, when users are trying to update you get the "Cab Installer error" and not when you login as an administrator.
So, please let us know if the users are configured with a proxy setting for their network access.
Im not sure what you mean by a proxy.
I mean I know that you can set up a proxy server so that when you surf the web you are using it to connect up to the internet. At least I think that is. I have never set one up and dont have one.
I would agree its a permission thing. But no I dont think we have a proxy set up.
