Have you checekd the scheduled tasks to make sure they're not incorrectly set to run too frequently ?
I have a schedule task and I made sure that all my settings are correct and it won't run simultaneously.I will recheck my settings again just to make sure that
everything is set properly. Thank you very much for the response. You gave me an idea where to further investigate.
By the way, why/how can you say that the problem is on the schedule task?
Have you tried disabling and enabling of the "Access Protection" in your VirusScan Console.
I had a high CPU value too after an update of McAfee VirusScan Ent 8.7i
If it does work it might be a bug after a large sdatxxx.zip update.
After the disable/enable of the Access Protection "workaround" the CPU load dropped to a normal percentage.
I had this issue on a Sun xVM Virtualbox installation of Windows XP SP2 (fresh installation).
I will check back after the SP3 installation reboot I am currently deploying on this virtual PC.
After the installation of the SP3 for XP the system stayed responsive and the VsTskMgr.exe is not acting up so far.
HI - just that if you accidentally schedule atask to run too often is can almost run all the time and exhipbit the CPU load you mention.
Thank you very much indeed it was the schedule task and I made some modification, vstskmgr.exe behaves normally now.:)
