It is not, unfortunately. We have had to reset the schedule in order to ensure we resolve a couple of serious issues that have been uncovered; one of those issues already being in the field today (KB74643 to be published discussing that specific issue).
Which issue from Hotfix 625756 are you intending to resolve? Each has alternate resolutions, granted none of them are ideal but some are simpler than others - removing HIPS to later reinstall it is one of the more difficult ones.
In that case, a simpler solution than what you're undertaking would be to trust the 3rd party code that's interacting with ours. It requires the 3rd party's code be digitally signed. You would contact McAfee Support, providing us the digital certificate that we may provide an SDAT to trust that certificate.
If you need help identifying that 3rd party, McAfee Support can also assist. It can usually be done with Process Explorer, choosing the DLL View, and highlight the process that is named in the Event entry. When the 3rd party DLL(s) is found, export the certificate from it - export it from each DLL that might be injected into the process, but there's only need to send us a copy of each unique certificate.
If the 3rd party's code is not signed, then this option isn't possible I'm afraid.
I think, it is a little bit wired....
"This code change will be included in VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 Patch 3, which is expected to be available by October 31, 2012."
.... but Patch 2 is not available yet ?!
Does McAfee skip P2 and will only relase P3?
