Machines must be connected to a domain and the users must be in Active Directory. There are also other changes in v6 so you'd need to see what you implement currently and whether upgrading would affect your current implementation/support.

What does it mean "the machines don't need to be part of a domain in v6, but the user's do". Is it possible with some tricks to manage 5.X with ePo? What is needed doing that?
I think Simon is trying to say that 'techincally' your machines don't need to be part of a domain, but your EE users must be.
If you want to manage your EEPC v5 with ePO you must upgrade to v6.1.
