How is an agent handler chosen

We have an ePO server (4.5.5) with one Remote Agent Handler in the network.

The Default Assignment Rule for the Agent Handlers is "Use all agent handlers"

There are no agent handler groups set up.

Immediately after enabling the remote agent handler we started to see client systems connect to it.

After 48 hours of this setup we are seeing the number of client systems connecting to the remote agent handler slowly increase and the number of systems connecting to the ePO agent handler slowly decrease.

My question is how do the client systems decide which agent handler to connect to, and if the current trend continues will we end up with all client systems connecting to the remote agent handler and NO client systems connecting to the ePO agent handler.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated

      Thanks

Please create AH assignment rule and select the AH in the same order, you would like client machines to communicate (Menu=>Configuration=>Agent Handler=>New assignment rule).

            Thanks for this quick reply.

We actually don't want to specify which agent handler handles client system requests, rather, we want the ePO server and the remote agent handler to equally manage or "load balance" the client system communications. We assumed the default assignment rule "Use all agent handlers" would accomplish this.

Would this be the correct assumption ?
