Installing agent on standalone PCs not on domain

    rdovey1981

      Hi,

      Wondering if anyone could help.

We use ePO 4.5 and use this to deploy the agents throughout our company but we have 4 standalone PCs which are seperate from our domain which we would like to deploy agents, they would also need to be able to only get updates via McAfee through the web and not via ePO (which they will not have access to).

Is this possible? and how could I get the installation onto these 4 PCs?

      Regards,

      Ross

Will they have any access to ePO? if not, then why install the agent- just install Vscan locally and it will pickup updates from McAfeehttp.

            Dear Rdovey,

            • if your standalone PC's have internet access then you can go for install VSE 8.x without the McAfee agent
            • If your standalone PC's doesn't have internet connection you can get Agent package (FramePkg.exe) from the ePO and install manually agent packages to all the standalone PC's and which will get updates from ePO server Path: C:Program Files\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\DB\Software\Current\EPOAGENT3000\Install\0409\Framepkg.exe                package.JPG
            • If  you dont want to communicate all your standalone Pc's to your ePO server eventhough PC's doesn't  have internet access then you can downlad Daily DAT file from the McAfee site and install manually to all your Pc's .....
