64 bit is tricky.. Just some thoughts..
1. Have you accessed the "Services" and confirmed that all McAfee services are starting "Automatically"? If not, please do so.. In addition, while checking the services, click on the "Recovery"tab and in the "First Failure" line, change it to "Restart the Service"..
2. Since Buffer Overflow Protection isn't supported on 64bit systems, have you made sure it's set as "disabled" in the VirusScan Console.?
3. Made sure that you've got all the newest drivers for your computer hardware? Chipset/Motherboard drivers can be key here..
Hope this helps.
If you've checked all those things, then we next try running an update with the manual Superdat file from the link below.. Download the Superdat to the desktop, then run it to reinstall the newest scan engine and the newest DATS. Make sure you use the newest Superdat so at least the DATs are newer than the currently installed DATs. (If you've never been to the site before, you'll need to click on the "Agree" button before you see the download link for the "sdat55xx.exe" download.)
Next, if that doesn't fix it, we do a full, manual uninstall using the instructions in the link below. After confirming EVERYTHING McAfee is gone, including all previous version of McAfee and any other antivirus program as well, then we reinstall.:
Manual Uninstall Of Virus Scan Enterprise 8.5i
Hope this helps.
I try with SuperDAT but nothing change.
Then i do full manual uninstall like wrote in your link. After that i install Agent 4.0 and VSE 8.5 with Patch 7 and have the same error.
Thanks for your help.
Sorry Grif,it was my mistake.
It was Agent with Patch1 installed first, but for Windows 2008 is minimum agent version required is CMA 3.6 Patch 3.
Now with Agent Patch4 ->McShield started normally.
Big Thanks for your Help!
