Can't help you much here mate.
All I can say is that you'll see (many) other posts about the memory issue with VSE. (Search in the forum and you'll see that.)
I see you're still using VSE 8.0, I hear say that VSE 8.5 (which we're using here) has somewhat less of a memory footprint. I wouldn't know about 8.7 as we're delaying distribution until some youth-issues have been solved.
FIW - It used to be that memory usage was around 50-80M but I just checked on my system mcshield is using 140MB !
Heh, I've been trying to persuade my manager to upgrade, but nothing doing at the moment - they take the view that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", which is why we are still running Office XP and SP2...
I'll try a few things and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the reply. happy
Remember that VSE 8 is EOL on 31 december 2009.
Really? Perhaps that will persuade them that it is time to upgrade.
Thanks for the info.
And McAfee Common Framework 220.127.116.11 that's installed by 8.0 is already EOL and stops updating as of february 2nd 2009.
Definitely time to upgrade then. grin
