    epo 4.5 HTTP repository question

I setuped the epo 4.5 and created http repository,  the laptop that installed  epo agent and update was fine. But other laptop without epo agent can not be updated even I create Repository in the client laptop of the Mcafee console(Mcafee8.8). May I know how to create the  Http epo  repository as the CommonUpdater same as the Mcafee website? Thank you.

Sound like you might just need to go into the VirusScan console and select: 'Tools - Edit Autoupdate Repository List' then make sure your Http site is visible and enabled.

When manage through ePO, this part is often done for you. When not managed by ePO you will have to set up the repository access list yourself.

Can you zip up and attach the mcscript.log from one of the failing machines?

              Thanks -

Thanks for this. According to the log, the agent can't find one of the files it's looking for, which is a bit strange.

Can you attach the sitelist.xml from an affected machine, and the same file from a machine where the update succeeds?

                  Thanks -

Please refer the attachment, BTW, I only enable the HTTP repository for the EPO agent client PC. The update is done. Thank you.

I can't see anything immediately obvious

One thing we didn't ask - which version of the agent is on the two machines (the one that works, and the one that fails?)

                      Thanks -

                        Dear Joe,

The client agent is 4.5 that can be updated, the failure one did not install epo agent.  Thank you.

The failing machine does have an agent installed - it's just it's not being controlled by ePO

If you check the properties of frameworkservice.exe, what's the version?

                          Thanks -
