    Use of Wireshark for troubleshooting




      I noted in an earlier post https://community.mcafee.com/message/173416#173416 that Wireshark was recommended for particular troubleshooting.  Due to the fact that the scan engine will most likely use a particular version of WinPCap or similar, are there any general recommendations from McAfee with regards to the use of Wireshark on scan engines?  Can we just install and forget about, or is there a possibility of updated WinPCap libraries having an adverse affect on scans?  With some recent support cases I get the feeling of a 'zero tolerance' support policy with 3rd party products, and would greatly appreciate confirmation either way :-)
