    VirusScan AutoUpdate

I have a script that goes out and downloads the files I need to update my McAfee Antivirus. The reason I do it this way is my machine that is getting updated is secure where I can’t allow the ports open to let the McAfee tool do itself.

The downloaded files are then used by McAfee via UNC path.

The site I go to is:
      http://update.nai.com/products/commonupdater

However I was wondering if there is a more secure site option from McAfee. I tried calling the support but don’t feel like waiting on hold for hours.

I browsed to https://update.nai.com/products/commonupdater, it offered me the option to accept a script. I did and then I got this error

An error occurred while processing your request.
      Reference #97.47af6d8.1231436632.366d98

while browsing to the http:// site works just fine.

So I guess my real question is can I even go secure with McAfee to download the files that are required?

Thanks for any input you may be able to provide.
