mail aliases file resetting back to defaults

    dpbpc62

Seeing a strange issue with the /etc/mail/aliases file resetting back to default of root after file was modified to send alerts to email addressess.

Has anyone seen this, I can't find any known issues in the KB's.

          Hello,

I can understand your confusion here. The root alias in the aliases file is overwritten with the "Administrator email address" specified in the Admin Console under Maintenance > Administrator Accounts. It is nice to have the ability to change the root alias from the Admin Console, but if you are not aware it is there, it can cause confusion.
