Moved this out of Home & Home Office to Security Awareness and deleted the attached file as per Sam Swift's instructions in the header announcement :
If you would like the file to be checked and - hopefully - given the all-clear then just follow the instructions in http://www.mcafee.com/us/mcafee-labs/resources/how-to-submit-sample.aspx.
"Platinum and Gold" customers, btw, are business customers.
The problem hayton, is that if I sumbit it, it will come back as a trojan, thats the way the .exe works, but, I want a .dat file to stop mcafee anyway, is that possible?
When you submit it as a passworded zip file it will return as a trojan detection you then reply to that email, adding the name of detection and words false +ve to the email and wait till they fix the detection.
Ohh really, so I can get something to stop mcafee from detecting this? By the way could mcafee be detecting the fact that it is loading software into my kernel? will this just make mcafee not care about the file at all?
