Checking if the engine is up to date

      Hello again,

maybe a dumb question. But I am looking for an easy way to find out - via snmp - whether the signatures (antivir ...) are up-to-date. Is there an oid to check this state? I do not want to use syslog or snmp traps.

      Regards

You can get the version of the installed engines and patterns. Load the product MIB and check .1.3.6.1.4.1.1230.2.7.1.20, this hosts all the versions.

You can compare these against the list on contentsecurity.mcafee.com.
