When I am logging on to the ePolicy Orchestrator 4.6.1, the following messages appear:
The Local Agent Handler service is not running.
The Local Event Parser service is not running.
Could anyone help me solve this problem, please?
I would like to know if you have done any kind of ePO/patch upgrade.
Is ePO services running on the server? If not then what is the error message it fails with when you try to start?
Thank you for your attention.
I have not done any kind of ePO/patch upgrade.
- McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.6.1 Application Server is started.
- McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.6.1 Event Parser failed to start. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start.
- McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator 4.6.1 Server could not start.
Is console not getting loaded or it loads with above mentioned message? I believe that if Application server service is running then console will open.
Regarding Event parser message, I will suggest you to go to Event parser service property and look if dependent services are up and running. If they are not running then please try to start them and try to start Event parser service.
I will suggest you to look at KB#: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB51660&actp=search&viewlo cale=en_US&searchid=1324137563028
I just followed the KB article but in my case SQL Serer service is already running.
The thing is I am able to login to epo server but Event parsar service is not able to start it is giving dependancy error.
I had the same problem with the new easy install. The problem is if you look at IIS, the binding is on port 80 which is causing the problem with the Apache server. Try changing the binding port or just stop the IIS.
