You are in awkward situation. You have both a Windows error and a EEPC error.
Try authenticating using export configuration from the database with Wintech/BartPE CD, than copy the data.
BTW. Please mention the EEPC version next time.
My Safeboot Ver. is 5.2.6 and I have the Wintech as well as Safetech CD. Can you ellaborate what is to be done. If possible with Screenshots
Try this process please:
Export the machine configuration to a big memory stick
Boot from the Wintech CD with the memory stick inserted
Choose authenticate from file (From the memory stick)
Choose Go/Programs/A43 file mangement utility)
Check if you can browse to the data
If so, copy the data, and replace the drive
If not, let me know if there is any error in this process.
Thanks Johan, for now, I have just kept for decryption of Safeboot and its going on the process. However, I will let you know if I can backup the data next time if this error occurs. WIll like you to know that the Database Error I am facing is only in HP Laptops and this is the 4 th Laptop in the past month after setting up Safeboot Server I have faced. Any idea of its compatibility issues with Safeboot.
Please post EEPC issues on Planet.McAfee.com.
Also, most of your answers can be found there.
In short: every hardware vendor has issues as well. HP is not an exception. HP has been very helpful fixing their issues after we found them. Upgrading a BIOS will help in most cases.
