mail to some domains fails with 421 SMTP data incoming timeout

I am using an Ironmail as a smart host. Mail to some domains fails with the error mail.hightower.co.za #<mail.hightower.co.za #4.0.0 smtp; 421 4.4.2 ns1.hbw.co.za Error: timeout exceeded> #SMTP#

 

 

This abit of the smtpo log that I get for the domain mtnbusiness.co.za

    All of the data leading up to the error is missing, so it is hard to say what may be happening.  Could we see the full output for that message?

     

    What version are you running?  From the format of those log lines, that appears to be a version that has been end of life for almost two years now.

    The timeout is an error coming back from Postini (the recipient's mail host), and not generated by the IronMail itself, but other than that I am not able to tell exactly what is happening.  You would have to increase the log level and/or call support for further troubleshooting.  Even at that we may not be able to get a better answer.

     

    Please note that it appears you are running version 6.5.3 or 6.5.4 (maybe 6.7.0, but I can't remember exactly what the logs for that version look like), and all of these versions are end of life.
