It sounds like you have checked in the full reposted package of VSE 8.8 P1, rather than just the patch 1 package. Ideally you need both
The full package is used to install 8.8 P1 on machines that don't have 8.8 installed: the patch 1 package is used to upgrade machines running 8.8 to 8.8 Patch 1.
On the 8.8 download page, go to the Patches tab, and download the patch 1 package. Then configure an update task and make sure that VSE 8.8 is selected, and assign this task to the machines.
Okay you where right Joe.
But now the problem is that all clients reveive the Update because there is a global task making the clients look for patches for VSE 8.8.
The package is checked into the test-folder, but under an update-task i cant configure a folder from where to get the update files.

For update tasks, the repository branch to use is set in the agent policy - if you go to the Updates tab in the McAfee Agent policy, you can set which branch to use for updates and service packs.
thanks again. That´s a point i didn´t know so far.
Now I´m ready to go.
