    vscan.bof missing

After updating my Windows 7 laptop to service pack 1, Mcafee Total Protection realtime scanning failed. I ran Mcafee Virtual Technition and it found and fixed most of the errors. However, vscan.bof is missing and the DAT engine is not up to date. Is there a way to force update Mcafee and download vscan.bof? Or another way to fix this?

This is with McAfee Total Protection? Which version of the program are you running? Most of the "vscan.bof" issues I've found have been with VirusScan Enterprise, and for Enterprise customers there is a way to download a replacement version of the bof file. Home users don't seem to have access to that download.

If MVT can't fix the problem you may have to reinstall TP.
