    VirusScan 8..5i and VMWare

      Hi people,

i have some problems with virusscan 8.5 and vmware gsx-server. On our 4-5 VMWare Servers sometimes the McShield service stopped (time out) and starting. Its always at the same time range... around 6:30am (the server check out the updates between 6am to 7pm oclock). And its always at own files from virusscan or other mcafee productes, like that:

      EvntSLog: [ERR] Tue Oct 07 06:39:58 2008: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM/Application/BLAUSAEURE/McLogEvent (5051) - "A thread in process C:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\VirusScan Enterprise\x64\McShield.exe took longer than 90000 ms to complete a request.
The process will be terminated. Thread id : 3936 (0xf60) Thread address : 0x0000000077EF0A4A Thread message :

      Build VSCORE. / 5300.2777

I test it with higher times (up from 45 seconds to 90 or 120 seconds), before the process terminated. On the most Servers, this fix the problem, but now at one Server (VMWare Webserver) the HTTP-Service go down at the time, that VirusScan attempt to scan a own file, so the Page is Down for 5 or 6 minutes. That only happen at the time arround 6:30am. The rest of the day it works without problems. We fix the problem, because we made exceptions for the McAfee folder, that VirusScan not scan the folder.

For us, thats not the best solution, perhaps any can help me/use. Sorry for my bad english ;).null
