Screenshot says that you have zero unread threat message. I suspect that the logged in user has read the threat message so unread message became zero.
To clarify this, I will suggest you to create a new ePO user, log in with that user and verify.
The screen shot is from my account that was created in May and the MyAvert Security Threats has been at 0 unread since then. I have checked another account and the MyAvert Security Threats has not been updated since February. The account was created in June and has only been used 3 times.
Is there anyway of finding out how many MyAvert Security Threats that have come out since February?
I can confirm the same symptoms.
The last one i recieved was Android/Drad.A on the 15th of Feb
You could try looking at the KB below. How to configure MyAvert Security Threats in ePO v4.x
I have tried solution 1 and I can connect to http://myavert.avertlabs.com:8801/ but I am not getting any new MyAvert Security Threats. I have also disabled the updating of MyAvert Security Threats and re-enabled it and still nothing.
Try this one then. MyAvert Check fails to upate in the ePO v4.5 Cosnole Looks like it will be fixed in ePO v4.5 Patch 5. And your running Patch1 correct?
Yes i am running ePO v4.5 Patch 1.
I have found the orion.log files and the error that Avert is creating is
094 ERROR [pool-9-thread-1]daemon.AvertService - Exception whileexecuting the AvertAlerts command
com.mcafee.orion.core.cmd.CommandException:POST Command got unexpected HTTP Status:500
this is a little different then the error that KB70683 (https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB70683&actp=search&viewlo cale=en_US&searchid=1320685284853) is talking about.
If this KB is the only way of fixing the issue I will wait till end of the school year to see if patch 5 fixes it.
That is the only KB that I could find.
At this point I would call support and log a SR. Hopefully you have a Platinum support contract.
