ODS Will scan them during scheduled scans; however, I would highly recommend enabling OAS. If you're having performance issues, those can be fixed through the configuration. You are highly susceptable to malware in your current configuration. Most malware is significantly harder to clean after the fact.
Can we enabled OAS but not scriptscan. We do want these SWF files to be scanned but scriptscan always cause performance issues. Please note that these machines are ATM machines and are highly secure.
The safest way would probably be to install without scriptscan.
SetupVSE.exe ADDLOCAL=ALL REMOVE=ScriptScan /q
or unregister scriptsn.dll after install via
or install VSE 8.8 patch 1, which fixes every script scan issue I've seen.
VSE 8.8 patch 1 sitll isn't available for download, but according to other posts you can get it by contacting support.
If you contact support, and we determine that you have an issue patch 1 will resolve, you will be able to find yourself with patch 1.
