Jin, what was it triggering on?
Cookie-2O7 and similar cookie related stuff.
The Server Task log should show when automated tasks like updating the Master Repository are run and what the result was. There is a predined Automatic Response for Master Repository Update succeeded that you could enable, but I don't know if it can filtered to only send an email if new items were actually added to the repository (the task reports succeeded if there is nothing new to add as long as the process completes without error).
Yes, I noticed this one and turned it on. I will wait and see how it looks like.
However, I don't see the new version number as part of the email template.
The master repository updated event is a good trigger but does not have the information I need from the email. Still need to figure out how to retrieve current DAT, engine versions. Any one know how to do it?
ePolicy Orchestrator Notification
Response Name: Master Repository Update succeeded
Event Type Name: Server
Description: Sends an e-mail notification when "Master Repository Update succeeded" events are received.
Event Description: Master Repository Update succeeded
Source Computers: McAfeeHttp2
Anyone might know if there is a file on ePO server with latest DAT/Engine version information? Thanks.
Not sure if it will help. I've been playing with the new WEB API in ePO 4.6
The two URLs below will give you details of the DAT and engine
You can add them in as URL in a browser to get details or you can use the URLs with WGET to pull the details into a file.
I think that's what I need. Thank you very much!
