Trying to erase Dell 1950's with sidewinder

We are trying to reformat two Dell 1950's that have sidewinder installed. We thought we would be cute

and install a Dell BIOS and of course that didn't work. How to wack the secure computing BIOS so we

can use the machines without sidewinder.

Unless there's something specific with the Secure Computing BIOS which you don't like you should be able to simply install a new operating system. I've encountered a couple of situations where an old Sidewinder appliance has been retired in favour of a newer box and the old one has had something like Windows Server installed onto it.

This was a few years ago, but it seemed to be running just fine.
