Help with over eager Mcafee reminders

Bought a laptop that came with a 60 day free trial of Mcafee Internet Security Suite.

Before the time ran out I purchased and downloaded Mcafee Total Protection.

Now that the free trial has ended I'm getting the annoying renewal notices from the Internet Security Suite which also warns that my computer is unprotected and in danger.

My online Mcafee account shows that my Total Protection license is properly installed and working on this computer.

Windows Control Panel won't let me uninstall individual programs and only gives one option for all Mcafee products.

Is there any solution that doesn't involve completely uninstalling and reinstalling all of my computer protection?

There must be remnants of the trial software lingering on your machine.

Uninstall McAfee using the Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a program (Add or Remove Programs in XP)

Run the MCPR cleanup tool listed under Useful Links at the top of this page and reboot.

Re-download and install your software from the online account.
