Sending an agent wakeup call from the console should trigger the upload of any events, as far as I know...
Was this question ever answered or was there a solution found ?
Looking at EEPC 6.1.3 I see this in the MfeEpe.log
2012-01-15 09:42:47,404 INFO EpoPlugin userHandler: Note, press Send Events button in McAfee Agent to hasten delivery (see KB78165).
BUT, I can't find KB78165 and I want to "Send Events" programatically via a script.
I'm not sure that cmdAgent.exe /P provides the same functionality as pressing the "Send Events" can anyone confirm or deny ?
That's correct. CmdAgent.exe /p will do the same things.
Below are the command line switches for CmdAgent.exe .
/c Checks for new policies. The agent contacts the ePO server for new or updated policies, then enforces
them immediately upon receipt.
/E Prompt the agent to enforce policies locally.
/P Send properties and events to the ePO server.
/S Displays the agent monitor.
CmdAgent.exe /p doesn't seem to do the same thing as pressing "send events" button.
I need a command to activate a migrated EEPC 6.2 client from Safeboot 5.1.9.
Haven't come across anything yet... still looking
I agree performing a CmdAgent.exe /p does not accomplish the same thing as pressing the "Send Events" button. I am more inclined to believe that the CmdAgent.exe /p does a "Collect and Send Props". I would love to figure out how to do the "Send Events" remotely though.
