I have a client on my network that in ePo does not show McAfee AV as being installed. This client has the ePo client installed and is reporting other information (version numbers, current software, etc). I have tried "Send Agent install" and "Agent Wakeup Call - configured to get full-Product Information" several times but it still won't display the McAfee AV software. On my network we are using Enterprise 8.5i.
What gives? Please help (my security people are suggesting re-imaging the machine, which I think is over-kill).
I have run across many variations of this problem with EPO and workstations over the years. Usually, a complete uninstall of virusscan and the agent is the best solution. Many times this will fail and you have to force the situation. These products don't play too well together. If there are no user install software or files, reimaging sometimes is the better answer.
