    EMM 9.6 LDAP connection issues


      Hello Folks


      Customer at a certain point of the day are receiving ldap connectivity errors on Hub Server.


      Windows System Log

      The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server ldap/mydomaincontroller.mydomain.com/mydomain.com@mydomain.com. No authentication protocol was available


      Soon after the following errors are generated in the Hub logs.

      IsLDAPServerAvailable - An error occurred while attempting to establish a connection to the domain.System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007052E): Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.”



      Failed to authenticate user: sa-mdmtestSystem.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007052E): Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.


         at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind(Boolean throwIfFail)

         at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.Bind()

         at System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry.get_Name()

         at EMM.Security.DirectoryServer.GetLDAPDetails(UserEntity& user)


      Some but not all user devices become non-compliant. The user needs to perform an update configuration. We think the system is being redirected to another Domain Controller.  Has anyone seen this behaviour before?


      The release notes state:

      • DE1989: Auth directory only tries the first domain controller it finds in DNS

      Workaround: Please refer to KB:

      Does anyone know the what the Workaround is? I can’t find the KB for it.
