Can you explain bit more in details what r u trying to do???..............
i have a list with 200 system which are in different groups. now a create a new group with new policys.
is there anyway to add all the systems to this group at once? or do i move each individual?
Is this Total nunber of systems?????.................
OR you are trying to move systems with some IP range OR tags??.........
If this are the total number of systems & you are trying to move those , it is possible to move all those systems & if this are not the total number then also it is possible to move all systems at once by selecting the systems which you are trying to move.
Please revert back if any queries/clarifications.
exactly, it's 200 system. i have these in a text file.
how can i move this system at once???
just for info. under my organization has 30000th systems.
You can probably do this with a server task - which version of ePO are you using?
we use ePO 4.5 Hotfix 1 ( Buid: 1093 ).
would be great if i had a sulution.
This should be pretty simple then As long as I understand the problem correctly, you should be able to simply do the following:
1) Create a new server task
2) Select "Load systems by file" as the Action and enter your text file location
3) Select "Move systems to another group" as the sub-action
4) Select the group you want the machines moved to.
For the schedule I suggest leaving this disabled, as presumably this will only be run once.
Then manually run the task
I would strongly recommend you test this first, by (for example) creating a text file that only contains one test machine, and make sure it works as expected, before you run it against the full list of 200 machines.
The file needs to be accessible from the server, so if it is on your workstation, you will need to map a drive from the server to the workstation.
It's usually easier to copy the file to the server, though.
