    VirusScan Enterprise 7 Disk Space

I am seeing alarming disk usage for an install of VirusScan Enterprise 7 on a Windows 2000 server. The usage is up to 3.5 Gigabytes and growing:

      C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Network Associates\Common Framework\Current\VSCANDAT1000\DAT\0000\

is the offending directory. There is a growing number of dat-xxxx files in there, each taking up 25 MB or so.

Any advice on how to get this under control?

Is it downloading the 20MB+ dat.zip fresh every day but then not deleteing it?
Has the VSE 7 install been patched to 7.1 equiv?
What engine version is it running?
Are the dats up to date?
Have you tried a superdat if not (may require reboot)

Your best option would probably be to remove this and replace it with a supported product 7 and 7.1 are both EOL for support and even 8.0 goes EOL at the end of December.
