What is the operating system ?
How is the computer connected to internet (DSL/Wireless)
Do you have / Did you previously have any other antivirus software in the PC ?
If possible please attach a screen shot of the error message that you get!!!
Did you try reinstalling after a removal as I mentioned above?
You can try installing in safe mode with networking that helps sometimes as does

Thank you, Peackeeper, for your assistance. I have tried everything you instructed me to do without any luck. This problem has become unbearable as it has been persisting since August 12th. My computer is still unprotected and is slowing down. I paid for protection that I have not had for two months now. I would greatly appreciate a refund of my purchase since I did not get what I paid for. I hope you understand and I am requesting that you please help me with the procedure. I know this kind of problem is not the norm; sometimes technology is fickle. That being said, if you are able to help me obtain my refund, I would be very likely to purchase McAfee products for my future electronic devices.
Customer service is the 1 to contact re refunds though as after 30 days you will have to push them re your issues and trying to fix them as teh reason you are late. Did you contact them and ask them to try to install it?
