I moved this provisionally to VirusScan assuming that's what you are finding problems with. As an experiment I just downloaded and installed your software, then ran a scan and nothing was detected.
Where are are you seeing this? What McAfee software and version is the culprit?
Also which version of your software? I downloaded the free MediaJukebox but I see you also have a paid MediaCenter software.
If it was labelled as an unknown or 'Artemis' detection can you post any details of the detection number?
It was labelled as an "unknown detection" and it made the operating system (windows 7 x64 sp1) I reside on crash horribly.
the detection number (not sure if this was the whole thing I had to be quick about it is:
Could you clarify what I asked as to what version of your software and what version of McAfee was telling you this?
As I said I downloaded and install it and nothing happened. But that was in Vista SP2 x64, not that it should make a difference.
It also shouldn't crash the system when a detection is made.
As it's the weekend with few people patrolling these forums it may be better for you to contact Technical Support Chat via the link under Useful Links at the top of this page.
McAfee Virus Scan: v15.0.288
Media Jukebox: v14.0.166
OK double-click the taskbar McAfee icon to open SecurityCenter
Click Quarantined and Trusted Items
Click those three areas and see if you can spot whatever was detected within one of them.
As I said I installed the software and nothing was detected so perhaps it was the media rather than the software?
wating on more input from user......
OK. You'll have to temporarily disable VirusScan in order to reinstate those items and you also may have to enable 'Show hidden files and folders' in Windows Explorer Tools/Folder Options/View in order to locate them afterwards.
Then follow the procedures outlined here to submit them (just those items as the entire installation would be too large to submit) and note what to do if they are labelled malware by McAfee Labs.
OK. Will do. Thank you.
OK good luck.
